YOGA

I do not believe in diet or exercise but I do love yoga

Five Most Popular Yoga Poses

Some people among us have to start the day early and hence, they do not have the time for meditation classes or hour long yoga. And then there are some who are too lazy to check their email and answer messages. But what if 10-15 minutes yoga boosts your stamina and saves your time simultaneously? You would think about it. Morning exercise is very essential for your body, just as important as your morning breakfast but if you cannot take some time out of your busy schedule to visit a gym then try yoga. Yoga is easy to do, no unnecessary lifting weights, no crunches and zero expense.

I will discuss the five most popular yoga poses that will make your morning fresh and bright, and make you feel relaxed throughout the day.

Now take a deep breath and start reading

It is about happy ending and the story

My Thoughts

To The Author –

Amber, I have read many books, many stories which touched my heart, made me cry, made me laugh and feel many other emotions that are just…well..difficult to find in the fiction world. Then, there are some stories that touch my soul, that make me want to continue to read, get inside the book, grab a character and hug him/her to heaven. Those are the books that touch my heart, they come twice or thrice in a year, if I am lucky. Those are the books that touch my soul. There are books like Harry Potter which make you want to leave all the work and complete reading the book, to know the end and then there are books like “Puddle Jumping” which makes the reader want to continue reading the book, hoping the book never ends.

Book Review

Received this book not long time back and today I felt like reading it. I decided to complete the book by this week but well, this story had its own thinking and I completed it today itself.

And here is my review,

BLURB–

The world seemed not enough for free spirited Renuka, when she married the highly educated Shashank hailing from the mightiest Zamindars of Bengal. However, soon her life turned upside down when a neighbor revealed her of their sinister past.

It’s a mysterious supernatural curse cast on their family almost a century back. Generation by generation, Damini’s enraged curse had passed on, declining their family clan from hundreds to a handful few. Who would be Damini’s next victim? And why innocent lives are at a stake for a crime committed by an ancestor a hundred years back? Renuka would not settle until she finds an answer and in her quest she struggles to eradicate all the evils that come in her way. Would she ever win a battle against an unseen enemy? Would the wrong done to Damini be ever avenged?

Set against the nostalgic era of 1940s, the story narrates the arduous journey of Renuka Pal, the protagonist, from a rash teen age freedom fighter to the seasoned writer of the 21st century India. In this thrilling saga of death, betrayal and power plays the narrative would cover a large chunk of twentieth century history. The passing of time, historical events and the changing country is so well-woven to the story that one would hardly differentiate between fact and fiction.

8th and 9th February

There are times when you start feeling the emotions of the characters of a novel, you feel their anger, their happiness, their contentment. You cry with them, you smile, you sob, you laugh, you feel relieved, you feel doubt and you fall in love. Those feelings define a good story, a good novel.

Me Before You (Me Before You #1)

by Jojo Moyes (Goodreads Author)

 4.29  ·  Rating Details  ·  296,738 Ratings  ·  37,485Reviews

Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick.

What Lou doesn’t know is she’s about to lose her job or that knowing what’s coming is what keeps her sane.

Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he’s going to put a stop to that.

What Will doesn’t know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they’re going to change the other for all time

image

I strictly ask you to not read this review if you haven’t read the book. I will try not to add spoilers but I am pretty sure the next lines will explain my feelings towards the characters and it will hard for you to not read between the lines.

My Review —

Louisa Clark is in search of a job. It’s recession time in Britain and no one in her family has a good enough salary to feed the house. Her mom takes care of her Granddad, her sister who has a son named Thomas, works in a flower shop. She is intelligent but not qualified. Her Dad works in a furniture company and is dreading a suspension call anytime soon. After she loses her job, she is in urgent need of another. Her advisor Syed tells her of various jobs from working in a chicken factory to a strip club.

Louisa is disgruntled and impatient. Syed comes with another job, this is something Lou has never done and never wanted to do. The work is to take care of a quadriplegic, the paralysis of all the four limbs.

Her first question is if she has to clean his arse. Syed tells her he will find out and if the answer is in a negative, she will have to take the job.

The first time Lou meets Will is unlike any other romantic story. Will makes incoherent sounds just to scare her away. She secretly is afraid but doesn’t let it show on her face. She remains bright and cheery towards him. She thinks Will hates her and who wouldn’t be in his situation? She reasoned.

Camille, Will’s mother employs her. At first, all Lou wants to do is leave the job but weeks later, she is used to Will. Will becomes patient and a little friendly with time. He with his sarcastic but funny remarks makes Lou comfortable.

image

Did I tell you Lou has a boyfriend?  Patrick is a runner and what I call a fitness freak. He runs Marathons, spends most of his time running or talking about it.

Then there is Will’s nurse, Nathan, who is a strong part of this novel. I liked him since the beginning. Will trusted him and talked to him. Lou felt safe when he was around and it was just difficult to not like Nathan.

The story continues with Lou getting more friendly with Will. One day, she overhears Will’s parents talking about dignitas, the place in Switzerland where patients who are fed up of their life and lost all hope go to end their life. She thinks of Camille as heartless because which mother would let her son die?

Lou writes a letter to Camille informing her that she won’t be working anymore.

Camille then tells Lou the complete truth.

From there, I certainly had lost interest in food, water or sleep. I can’t express my feelings towards this novel in a single review. I cried even after reading the whole story. I know some compare it to ‘The Fault in our stars’ which was another tearjerker but they aren’t alike, the story is completely different.

image

I vowed to myself after reading ‘The Fault in our stars’ that I would never read anything like that again. I loved it but I hate crying and these novels will make you sob. I last time I cried like this was when I completed ‘The fault in our stars’ and ‘Walk to Remember’. The thing is I didn’t look like a patient of conjunctivitis after reading the ‘The fault in our stars’ and ‘Walk to Remember’.

If you, by any chance, think your life is absolute Shit then read this. You will get a new view towards Life.

Also, there is a movie coming out very soon with probably (definitely) the best actors. I saw the trailer and it was quite awesome. They changed some things but well, books are always better than movies because of the same reason. Still, the cast for Will is Sam Claflin (swoons, hits head and heaven) and for Louisa is Emilia Clarke (The Game Of Thrones, she is perfect.)

image

Oh God, these tears need to just leave me alone. My mother is getting suspicious now and my father is asking me “If I am fine” more often than ordinarily. My sister is rolling her eyes because she knows.

I can’t Judge Will but I really hoped throughout the story, until the last page of Q/A with the author that he will change his mind.

An excerpt from the novel —

Oh, come on, it’s not as if they’ve never seen a girl nibbling a bloke’s collar before.’

I seemed to have briefly silenced him. Will blinked a couple of times, made as if to shake his head. I noticed with amusement that his neck had coloured a deep red.

I straightened my skirt. ‘Anyway,’ I said, ‘I think we should both just be grateful that it wasn’t in your trousers.’

I love both of them, so much.

“There are some feelings in this world they haven’t invented the right words for.”

And as Will said in his letter –

I don’t want to think of you getting all maudlin. Just live well.

Just live.

Love,

Will

You get just one life, live.

It’s the end of our days.
Our reality will be shattered.
The foundations of the universe are set to be destroyed.

To take a father from a son,
Kill a mother protecting her child,
Destroy a world to kill one boy,
Make a lover betray her man.

Even the Gods are powerless.

Vengeance will rise,
Worlds will fall,
Evil will ascend…
…Shatru will oppose it.

If he does not, the one person who means the world to him will die..

I couldn't help making another cover

MY REVIEW –

Yesterday I started reading this series. Only the the first part is out in the stores now, the rest will come soon (as told by the author)

Nishtha — This story is great…I am on the sixth chapter and I just can’t stop. The first two chapters were kinda less interesting but then the story picked itself up. Is this really the first novel by the author? Because you can’t be that good on your first try.

Okay..enough said. Going back to Shatru.
Jan 27, 2016 10:43AM

Today, I finished completing the story.

First of all, its not for children (below 12) due to the language used by the characters.

The story is about Shatru, he has some really awesome powers which will enrapture you. The story at first seemed dull (the first few chapters), it was confusing, divergent and mind boggling. Suddenly, I don’t know when it really happened, maybe in the fourth or fifth chapter, I just got so absorbed in the story that I couldn’t get myself out of it. I could not get up to do the normal chores. I wanted to know where this was heading. Within few chapters, Kris and Shatru became my favourite badass Indian fiction heroes.

image

Shatru

There was humour, there was action, there was a story, there was a different world and there was the essence of my country in every chapter..what more could I ask for?

There were villains but so were heroes.

image

My copy

There were demigods and there were Asuras.

There was another brilliant fiction novel series!

Five stars

For a first attempt, this work was incredible.

image

I couldn't get a better pic with my Samsung S4 in such dull light

I heartily congratulate the author for such a tremendous work.

Keep it up.

Looking forward for the second part.

Favourite Person of the year 2015

image

She is just fantastic

Saw her for the first time on a roast of Charlie Sheen (on YouTube) and she just became my favourite comedian

Amy Schumer is a beautiful woman and a very famous comedian/actress/host/person.

image

With her carefree attitude, constant smiles, dirty mouth, questioning and funny frowns, she has won the heart of millions of people around the globe.

image

After watching her roasting people, I couldn’t help but google her. I found that she is not only in comedy shows but she has her own show.

image

Funny and charming

SNL, comes on comedy central. She speaks her mind. She is completely liberal in her thinking and behaviour. She is a versatile actress, you see the SNL episodes and you will believe it.
According to some of her fans, her work is praised mostly because of the way she speaks.

How she just knows when to speak what, is like magic. The joke never fails. Like other comedians, she won’t laugh after making the joke but continue with her act. That’s quite incredible. Also, her jokes are adult so you might want keep the kids away from the television when you are watching the show.

Then, there was this really funny movie
TRAINWRECK.

image

A great movie with a powerful script written by none other than AMY SCHUMER. According to her, the story is about a girl who is like her. The main role is ofcourse played by the Comedian, Amy and let me tell you, she banged it. It was just awesome. The story is about a girl named Amy who doesn’t want to settle down because her father gave her some advice in the past which she took seriously. This girl falls in love with Aaron (a doctor) but doesn’t know what to do about it. She ignores the poor guy but for how long?

A small scene from the movie —

Amy: I’ve been with a lot of guys.
Aaron: I don’t care!… How many?
Amy: I don’t know. How many girls have you slept with?
Aaron: I’ve slept with three women.
Amy: Me too. I have slept with three women too.
Aaron: How many guys?
Amy: What, like, this year?

Another –

Amy: What am I doing? I slept at the doctor’s place last night.

Nikki: You never spend the night. What were you, blackout drunk?

Amy: No, I had like two drinks… Three, max… Four, now that I’m tallying.

Nikki: Cause you’re on antibiotics or something?

Amy: Oh my god, he’s calling me.

Nikki: Why would he call? You guys just had sex.

Amy: [answers phone] This is Amy. I think you butt dialed me.

Aaron: No, I dialed you with my fingers.

Amy: [to Nikki] He called me on purpose.

Nikki: Hang up! He’s obviously like sick or something.

Aaron: I was calling to say I had a really good time last night and was wondering if you wanted to, um, hang out again.

Nikki: I’m going to call the police.

By IMDB

Having thought that monogamy was never possible, a commitment-phobic career woman may have to face her fears when she meets a good guy.

image

So, Amy Schumer is my favourite rising star and person of the year.

Congratulations to her for such success and All the best for the future!

You are the best.

What you are doing against gun violence is plausible.
